What's your favorite thing about DJing?
Is it the thrill of a performance, your love of music or is it just the thought of making someone's day fun that attracts you to this business? So here I pose the questions... why do you DJ?
At every event there is a genuine need from the client that things go smoothly. As the DJ I feel like I am the hinge pin to make sure that the event is a success. Helping to make sure that the client's day is a great one is why I DJ. I love the music and seeing everyone "throw down" on the dance floor but for me the true satisfaction comes from being an essential part of the entire evenings success. It's never about how good I am at picking the next song but more about my role in helping the entire event achieve perfection. That, in turn, is a great memory for everyone involved.
For me I would say one of the most rewarding things is playing such a huge role in someone's big event. I love it when the crowd gets involved and people are laughing, dancing and partying like crazy. Such a cool feeling knowing that you're in control like that, as the DJ we really can make or break someone's wedding.

ReplyDeleteI love begin a DJ because t the end of the night when the bride and groom come over and say, I made the day even more perfect, its all worth it.

ReplyDeleteI love becoming their friends leading up to the event, as well as during the event, and of course after the event.
This definitely is NOT just a "job"! It is a PASSION!
For me it is about the compliments. I love knowing that I was the one that made their day perfect (or saved it).
